More recently the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about significant changes to our day-to-day working lives. The effects of these changes cascade onto individual employees who can experience a variety of stressors in their work lives.

Impact of workplace stress

It has been well document by research that stress can have a negative impact on professionals’ physical and psychological wellbeing and their effectiveness at an individual and organisational level. 

 

The cost of stress and work-related illness has been estimated to cost billions of pounds, and stress and stress-related illnesses account for millions lost working days per year in the UK.

Who are we

Dr Evgenia Kostaki is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist & Co- Director at Weleful Limited. 

Evgenia has a clinical and research interest in the fields of workplace wellbeing.  

Research-wise, her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology thesis explored experiences of stress in therapists working in primary care mental health services. 

Alongside her role at Weleful, she currently works part-time in a NHS staff support service.
